save the L Word

After another short and barely 3 hours of sleep a night, i am trying to figure something out. And because it seems to me that some people lose their faith i want to push them and myself a little bit up.

But before that, we are looking at where we stand. The petition is at 26,083 and the last count of the postcards i get is 1.048 and when everybody sends them to the 3 Adresses that means 3.000 Postcards and that is great.

But i need to confess i felt a little down this weekend too. I was writing for several hours at the postcards so i have time to think how could this all happen.

First there was Season 1 that created such a strong and beautiful new universe. Communitys like l-word.com and tibette.com were created and a fanbase came together. Then there was Season 2. In some ways not as good as Season 1 but the level still really high. I mean Season 2 was really beautifull and fixes some or most of the stuff that happens in Season 1. And i mean we got Tibette back together.

But then there was that cut. Season 3. I have looked it only 2 times. One time the US DVDs and later then the “european version” with german language. My english was not always that good believe me . And i know most people are like me. See it one time and then it just never happened. I think it was not that bad, it still had some good moments. But not so much as i like it. So lets cut it out.

Then Season 4, that fixes very very fast all the mistakes. Ok not all, so sorry Dana, we all miss you . But it also brings Jodie with it and after all that happens i still can not understand why IC split Tibette again. Or can we say let them stay apart ? I don’t know.

Then Season 5 . How amazing was that ? Not only for us. As far as we know the ratings are not bad too . So how could it happened that now Showtime cancel the show ? okok i know we got a short 8 Episode Season 6. But hey why ? And please don’t come with the all stories has been told crap ! Look at some fanfics. There some of them that has written 40 years of tibette. With drama and all stuff.

But back to my main question why we are doing all of this. Why we spend hours and hours for writing emails, postcards, letters …. and send them from all around the world to showtime. As i have my down i get my answer from some of my favorite youtube videos. Something like

So Ilene and Robert i hope you two hear us. We know how important that August is and we all know what we owe Jennifer and Laurel. So we will continue untill our Spin-off airs and then we will still show Jennifer and Laurel how much we appreciate there work for the last 5 Years.

So L Word Fans out there. There is always faith and always hope. Keep strong. Showtime stated it themself.
